Monday, October 11, 2016 is the last day to register to vote for the Presidential Election on November 8, 2016. Registration applications submitted in person must be received in the Voter Registration office by the close of business on Monday, October 11. If registering to vote by mail, applications must be postmarked on or before Monday, October 11, 2016. Voter Registration is located at 117 N. Second St., in Goshen.
Voter registration forms and instructions for submitting them are available at the Clerk's Office or on the Secretary of
State's website at www.sos.IN.gov. Voters may also register at numerous government offices, including the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, and can now also register online at the Secretary of State's registration website www.IndianaVoters.com. At this website, voters can also check their registration status and view who the candidates will be on their ballot.
Elkhart County voters are strongly encouraged to make sure their voter registration information is accurate and up to date, ensuring their voice will be heard on Election Day. The Elkhart County Election Board would also like to remind all currently registered voters to be looking for mailings regarding the 2016 Presidential Election, including all vote center locations a voter can choose from on election day, as well as applicable absentee voting information. The mailings will be done in batches, with all voters to be notified by the end of October.
