Renewing or getting your driver's license doesn't automatically register you to vote or update your address with voter registration. You can register or update your registration in person, by mail, or online at indianavoters.in.gov

The deadline to register to vote or update a registration due to a change of address is Monday, April 9, 2012. The Elkhart County Voter Registration office is located at the County Office Building, 117 N. Second St., Lower Level Rm. L4, in Goshen. Office hours: Monday 8am-5pm, Tuesday thru Friday 8am-4pm. When registering to vote in person at the Voter Registration office, you must complete the form and are not required to provide additional documentation.

 

Mail-in registration forms must be postmarked on or before Tuesday, October 11, 2011, to be valid for the Municipal General Election. Registration forms are available at various distribution sites including: License branches, County Clerk's Offices, Libraries, State Offices, and Federal Offices.

New registration forms submitted by mail must include:
  1. A copy of  a current and valid photo ID; or
  2. A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or government document that shows the name and residence address of the voter stated on the application; or
  3. Any other government document with voter's name and current address.
